How do I import my past walks from Apple Health?
Open Ayumap and go to the Record tab. Tap "Import from Apple Health" and grant permission when prompted. Ayumap will pull in all walks and hikes automatically. Runs are excluded by design.
How do I import GPX files?
Go to the Record tab and tap "Import GPX". You can select multiple files at once from Files, iCloud Drive, or any other app that supports the share sheet. Ayumap supports both GPX and FIT formats.
Why are some short walks not showing on my map?
By default, Ayumap filters out walks under 45 minutes when syncing from Apple Health — to keep your map meaningful rather than cluttered with every brief trip. You can adjust this threshold in Settings.
What is the difference between the free and paid plan?
The free plan gives you a full heatmap and path lines for one country of your choice — with no time limit on the map. Journal access is limited to your most recent 30 days. The paid plan unlocks worldwide map access and your full journal history across all time.
Is my data private? Who can see my walks?
Only you. All personal GPS data is stored in a private iCloud container tied to your Apple ID — the developer cannot access it. If you participate in the optional community heatmap, only anonymous grid density is contributed. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I change my selected country?
Go to Settings and tap "Map Region". You can select a different country at any time. Your heatmap and path lines will update to show that country.
How do I delete a walk or journal entry?
Open the journal entry and swipe left, or tap the entry to open it and use the delete option. Deleted entries are removed from your iCloud container permanently.
Will my data transfer if I get a new iPhone?
Yes. All data syncs via iCloud automatically. Sign in with the same Apple ID on your new device, install Ayumap, and everything will restore.
